<tt>lsh</tt> is a free implementation (in the <a
href="http://www.gnu.org/">GNU</a> sense) of the <tt>ssh</tt> version
2 protocol, currently being standardised by the IETF SECSH working
group.<p>

<tt>lsh</tt> uses linux-style version numbers, i.e. 1.2.x, 1.4.x etc are
intended to be stable, while 1.1.x, 1.3.x, 1.5.x etc are development
versions. <p>

<tt>lsh</tt> releases are signed using <a href="http://www.gnupg.org/">GNU
Privacy Guard</a>, with
<a href="http://www.lysator.liu.se/~nisse/archive/distribution-key.gpg">
this public key</a> (HTTP from Sweden, or
 <a href="ftp://ftp.lysator.liu.se/pub/security/lsh/distribution-key.gpg">
 FTP from Sweden</a>)<p>
